ELA Certification of Competencies
ELA offers an internationally recognised certification programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management aligned to the European Standards of Competencies providing a globally harmonised level of qualifications for the profession.
ELA Certification recognises the individual’s competences using the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) which supports cross-border mobility of learners and workers, promotes lifelong learning and professional development across Europe and internationally.
The programme is available internationally, with candidates being assessed by accredited Certification Centres (CCs) responsible for specific geographic regions.
For Individuals
The ELA Standards cover key topic areas relevant to our profession and are assessed at levels 4, 6 and 7 of the EQF:
- Business Principles
- Core Management Skills
- Customer Service
- Demand Management and Distribution Requirements Planning
- Demand Management and Production Planning
- Process and Project Management
- Sourcing / Procurement
- Transportation
- Warehousing
Our local Certification Centers and their accredited training providers are able to assess your competencies based on your experience in the workplace or after you have followed one of their training courses leading to the following certifications:
- European Certified Logistician – for those in an operational role and for first line managers at the Supervisory/Operational Management level
- European Senior Logistician – for managers or consultants planning, coordinating and controlling different parts of the logistics network
- European Master Logistician – for senior managers, senior consultants or directors with considerable experience in logistics management
- ELA Diploma In Logistics and Supply Chain (only available in India)
- ELA Advanced Diploma In Logistics and Supply Chain (only available in India)
What we offer your company or organisation
Your in-house training courses can be mapped against the ELA Standards providing your staff with certificates that are internationally recognised, by the European Investment Bank, Swiss Confederation, World Bank and United Nations amongst other organisations.

What we offer Universities and Higher Education Bodies
Where an existing education programme covers 80% or more of the ELA Standard at a particular level then the course or training programme can be accredited by ELA with the option for learners to either receive a cELog Certificate or full ECLog / EMLog /ESLog Certification.
