ESLog – European Senior Logistician – Senior Management level
The European Senior Logistician Certificate is aimed at those at the mid – stage of their career and available to those who meet the professional standards set by the European Logistics Association at Level 6 of the EQF. Candidates who obtain the ELA certificate are entitled to use the designatory postnominal letters ESLog
The Learning Outcomes at Level 6 are:
Knowledge – comprehensive, specialised, factual and theoretical knowledge within a field of work or study and an awareness of the boundaries of that knowledge
Skills – a comprehensive range of cognitive and practical skills required to develop creative solutions to abstract problems
Competences – exercise management and supervision in contexts of work or study activities where there is unpredictable change. Review and develop performance of self and others
The competence System
The ELA Standards of Logistics Competence reflect the expectations of workplace performance and the have been developed with inputs from industry. The Standards are outcome-based and form the basis of an assessment which is independent of any learning programmes.
The European Certification Board of Logistics does not prescribe the methods or courses by which candidates may attain or develop the knowledge and skills, however acknowledged programmes can contribute to the development of knowledge, skills and competencies required for ELA-Certification.
The ability of candidates to meet the required Standards is assessed by Certification Centres established in each member country.

- Logistics & Supply Chain Design
- Process & Project Management
- Demand Management & Production Planning
- Distribution Management & Distribution Requirements Planning
Optional modules -select two from:
- Warehousing
- Transportation
- Sourcing
- Customer Service
Per module
- 20 multiple choice questions
- 4 short answer questions
- 90 minutes in total
Plus one situational interview or a case study of 60 minutes including preparation time and covering all of the modules examined.
