The “ELA Awards”- Project of the year is not restricted to manufacturing or commercial enterprises. Nominations are welcomed from the manufacturing sector, commercial enterprises, the service sector, the armed forces, the public sector or any logistics organisation. The Awards covers a large scope and achievement may be demonstrated by the integration or redesign of logistics functions by the innovative use of technology.
A company might have introduced a new transport or warehousing system that has innovated its logistics function(s), a change in manufacturing logistics, or perhaps the demonstrable improvement in the use of information flows or communications in logistics or in any part of the supply chain.
The ELA Awards, Project of the year is using a format similar to that of the “Champions League”. Each national member Association is invited to enter their national award-winning project into the competition and a European panel of judges will select the ELA Award Project of the Year. Entries should describe a logistics/supply chain project that has been implemented by a company. The criteria used to select the winner of the award are designed to encourage entries from companies of all sizes and sectors.
The projects must be prejudged by the respective national ELA member association and must also be submitted by them. The projects should be written in English, may not exceed 25x A4 pages including text and pictures etc. and must include the “Project Registration Form”. The format should be in PDF, Word or PowerPoint, or in any other common digital format. Additional electronic media such as videos or presentations will not be considered and should not be included. By entering, the nominee gives permission for the use of the paper and its content to be published by ELA.
The award provides companies with the opportunity to present their award-worthy concepts on a European stage. In addition, the company with the winning project is entitled to use a symbol logo indicating that they have won the award.
