Vienna – Austria – February 19th 2026 – DASCHER together with Fraunhofer IML won the prestiguous ELA Awards. They were announced as a winner during the Global Supply Chain Excellence Event hosted by VNL Austria and the Supply Chain Intelligence Institute Austria (ASCii) in the beautiful Palais Niederösterreich.
In a joint research project between DACHSER and Fraunhofer IML, a real-time digital twin of all packages, assets,
and processes was created for the first time for the transit terminals of Dachser’s European groupage network. @ILO stands for “Advanced Indoor Localization and Operations” and describes a technology that did not previously exist in this form on the market and represents a new level of transparency in groupage logistics.
Main objectives are: Optimization of current process quality, process times and process costs, and creation of a comprehensive data basis for the future use of technologies such as AI and autonomous vehicles for further process optimization.
Since winning the German Logistics Award 2023, @ILO has been further developed and its rollout in the European network has been driven forward. In addition, @ILO SmartKit, a solution for DACHSER customers, has been developed with Fraunhofer IML.
