Call for Abstracts – AI Impact on Supply Chains – Shaping the Future of Competitive and Innovative Logistics

The Slovenian Logistics Association (SLA) and ELA cordially invites researchers, scholars, and industry experts to present their scientific research results at the International Logistics Congress in Portorož,
Slovenia from 8th – 10th April 2026
This year’s theme reflects one of the most dynamic shifts in the logistics and supply chain domain: the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on competitiveness, innovation, and resilience.
Contributions are invited on the themes of:
- Risk Management and Resilience: Using data-driven insights to anticipate disruptions and maintain continuity.
- AI in Supply Chain Optimization: Predictive analytics, demand forecasting, real-time tracking, and autonomous decision support.
- Future of Competitive Supply Chains: Strategic agility, digital transformation, and new value creation models.
- Overcoming Logistics Obstacles with Innovation: Robotics, IoT integration, and next-generation warehouse and transport technologies.
Submission Guidelines
• Abstract length: 500–700 words (approximately two to three pages)
• Submission deadline: 15th of January 2026
• Notification of acceptance: 1st of March 2026
• Symposium date: 8th April 2026, Portorož, Slovenia
• Submission format: PDF or Word document, Times New Roman 11 pt, single-spaced
• Submit to: research@slz.si
Each submission should clearly indicate:
• Title of the paper
• Author(s) and institutional affiliation(s)
• Contact details (email, phone, address)
• Abstract and keywords (up to 5)
Abstracts should succinctly:
• Define (describe) the problem and objectives
• Summarize the current state of research and practice
• Describe the methodology and proposed solution
• Present the main results and discuss their implications for logistics theory and practice
