On 29 April, APLOG – Associação Portuguesa de Logística brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss one of the most pressing challenges for modern cities: urban logistics.
With rising e-commerce demand, increasing congestion and growing environmental pressures, the discussions highlighted the urgent need for smarter, more coordinated solutions. Key topics included low-emission zones, urban and regional logistics hubs, optimised loading and unloading processes, and the role of digitalisation, electrification and smart route planning.
A clear takeaway: only through strong collaboration between public authorities, logistics providers and businesses can we create more efficient, sustainable and liveable urban environments.
